María Elvira Salazar after being reelected to Florida's District 27: "We all want the same thing, prosperity."

The Cuban-American congresswoman advocates for peace and democracy. "We can help our neighbors and our peoples avoid falling into the clutches of communism."

Cuban-American Congresswoman María Elvira Salazar asserted that all peoples, including those in Latin America, desire prosperity.

The Republican politician, who was re-elected on November 5 for a third term in the U.S. House of Representatives, emphasized that the peoples of Central and South America are just like everyone else; they are not aliens.

"Everyone wants prosperity, for their children to thrive, to have peace, tranquility, democracy, the ability to travel, and to seek their happiness in the best way possible," he affirmed.

"From Washington, we can help our neighbors and our peoples to achieve that—to avoid falling into the grips of communism, which is a fantastic lie in theory but terrible in practice," he assured.

María Elvira emphasized that she is one of the members of the House of Representatives who works most closely with the Democrats, as she believes that American values serve as a common ground between both parties.

"When the proposal is beneficial for District 27 and for the country, it doesn’t matter who brings it forward; what matters is that it is good for everyone," he emphasized.

Salazar will continue to represent District 27 of Florida, which includes areas such as Miami, Key Biscayne, Little Havana, Coral Gables, Kendall, and Cutler Bay.

After the election results, he posted on his X account: "Thank you to the voters of Florida's 27th district for sending me to DC for a third term. I will continue to be your voice and fight for you!"

"We have a lot of work ahead of us: fixing the economy, reforming immigration, and fighting against socialism in our country and abroad," he added.

During her campaign, the congresswoman highlighted her experience and well-known name in the community, as well as her support for former President Donald Trump, which garnered her significant backing among conservative voters in South Florida.

This Wednesday, he congratulated him upon hearing of his victory in the elections.

"What a country we have! Almighty God has shown compassion for the United States. Great things await the nation under its leadership. Moreover, Hispanics have seen the benefits of voting Republican! Now the good times begin," he stated.
