A content creator focused on Costa Rican cuisine shared her experience in an Amish store on TikTok, reminiscing about her time living in Indiana and enjoying visits to this unique shop.
In the video, the woman excitedly talks about the authenticity and quality of Amish products, which are known for their focus on 100% organic and handcrafted foods.
"Many years ago, I lived in Indiana and I loved visiting this store here, which is an Amish shop specializing in 100% organic food that they make themselves, without chemicals," comments Mara on her channel @mividajugosa. "I just love it."
As she walks down the aisles, she showcases several products, highlighting the cheese at $3.91 and the cinnamon at $11.33, prices she describes as a "crazy" and "exaggerated" but in a positive light, as they are not far from those of a conventional store and come with superior quality.
"This is American food, but from days gone by. They have fresh ingredients every day," adds the user. She also mentions that she previously worked in an Amish bakery, so she knows well the dedication and effort these artisans put into each of their products. "They make everything, all homemade," she notes with admiration.
His video has sparked the interest of TikTok users, who are drawn to Amish culture and its culinary traditions that seem to transport them to another time.
"My goodness, the prices are shocking for taking the whole store home." "There are also many Amish and Dutch in Pennsylvania, and they offer everything at super low prices: pure honey, candles, vegetables, flowers, fruits, food, and meats... all very fresh and pure. Visit Lancaster, Pennsylvania." "I'm from Spain and I always hear about hormones in chicken and things like that; I think it's a great idea to go to the Amish supermarket to get good products." "I visited an Amish community in Philadelphia and it was an extremely pleasant experience; at the same time, it was a big cultural shock due to how they live, eat, transport themselves, dress, etc., but it is very enriching to experience it." "So affordable!" or "The Amish markets are amazing, not only for the quality of their products but also for their prices," said some users in response to the video by @mividajugosa.
