The Cuban influencer Alexander Otaola stated that Damián Valdez Galloso, who is facing charges for the murder of reggaeton artist José Manuel Carbajal Zaldívar (El Taiger), "did not want to save him."
"Damián didn't want to save El Taiger. After shooting him, dragging him by the ankles, and putting him in the car, he cleaned up the scene, changed his shirt, and went to the hospital. 'I have the report!' Otaola said on Instagram."
The influencer believes that Valdez acted with calculated coldness after shooting the artist in the head, dragging him by the ankles, placing him in his vehicle, and leaving him near the hospital.
Otaola's statement comes in response to the release of the police report, which details Valdez's actions immediately after the shooting.
According to the Miami-Dade police report, El Taiger arrived at Damián's house around 5:24 a.m. After a brief interaction, Damián shot him in the head.
Later, the shooter cleaned the scene, changed his clothes, and drove to the vicinity of Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he abandoned the body. The reggaeton artist's injuries were irreversible, leading to his death a week later.
Damián's reaction to the bail denial.
During his first appearance in the Miami-Dade court, Damián Valdez arrived wearing a suicide prevention vest, visibly composed. He displayed no emotions on his face while listening to the reading of the charges against him.
Judge Mindy S. Glazer not only denied the right to bail but also questioned whether the charge of second-degree murder was sufficient, given the report of the facts.
The judge suggested that, since the defendant approached the victim with premeditation, the charges could be more severe. However, the prosecution argues that there are no more serious allegations to increase the sentence.
Otaola's statements have generated significant controversy, as they suggest that Damián, rather than trying to save El Taiger, opted to clean up the scene and hide the evidence instead of immediately calling emergency services.
The community is seeking justice as the case continues to be a subject of controversy and intense media scrutiny.
