The Cuban artistic community and its supporters mourn the loss of young actress Inima Fuentes, who passed away this weekend, as confirmed by the CubaActores account on social media.
"We deeply regret the passing of Inima Fuentes, actress, lyric singer, producer, and filmmaker. Her immense talent and charisma made her a beloved and admired figure among her colleagues and art enthusiasts. We send our heartfelt condolences to her husband, family, and friends," they expressed in an emotional message.
Journalist Danny González Lucena also paid tribute to Fuentes on social media, reminiscing about the years of youth they shared together.
Fuentes was born in Cienfuegos, Cuba, and resided in Spain. In recent years, he faced a fierce battle against cancer, but he never silenced his creative voice or ceased to promote artistic projects.
Her career included performances in various theater groups and a prominent role as a teacher at the Higher Institute of Art. Additionally, she ventured into film and audiovisual production.
The last project he participated in was the short film "Marrón," which premiered in September and explores the lives of people with cancer.
In one of his recent Facebook posts, Fuentes shared his achievement of obtaining a Master's degree in Live Performing Arts, leaving a message of optimism for his followers: "No one can tell you what you can or cannot do with your life."
