A traffic accident occurred in Las Tunas when a truck with a trailer crashed into a utility pole, leaving an entire neighborhood without electricity.
The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of René Ramos and Julián Santana streets, in the Santo Domingo neighborhood, known as El Marabú.
According to the Facebook user "La Tijera," the incident occurred because the vehicle apparently lost its brakes and crashed into the concrete structure, which caused an immediate power outage in the area.
"The condition of the truck driver is unknown," the post specified.
Fortunately, no one was walking on the sidewalk at the time of the crash, which only exacerbated the ongoing electrical service crisis in the area.
"It's not easy, an entire neighborhood without power, and who knows how long we'll be like this," lamented a user in the comments section of the post.
