Cabo Pantera, El Habanero, and Ulises Toirac announced to their followers a Christmas offer that doesn't require antivirus for mobile phones.
The three comedians, known not only for their talent but also for their unique physique—which they often capitalize on in their shows and programs—have an original proposal for their fans that is hard to resist.
It all started when they met in a store near Ulises' house. "When you throw the cup wrong, three ugly ones come out right away! Christmas is already ruined," he joked.
The joke is that people are supposedly supposed to put a photo of the three of them together on their mobile phones, which, since they are so unattractive, would be used to update the antivirus in 2025.
They warn about the consequences: the phone might start to smoke, the image could freeze, or it could run out of data within two minutes.
"They're on time," said Cabo Pantera on his Instagram account.
On December 31, Cabo Pantera and El Habanero will perform in Pinar del Río at the well-known cabaret Rumayor, in a show titled "Don't Panic," as announced in a video on Instagram.
Ulises, for his part, has been reporting for some time that the government keeps him censored, preventing him from taking action in Cuba due to his critical opinions of the system that he shares on social media.
In June, the authorities suspended a scheduled performance in Cienfuegos without anyone stepping forward or taking responsibility for the cancellation of the show. This was not the first time this had happened to him.
"Beyond denying someone a job because of their ideas or what they say, the way in which those in power make it clear that it is impossible to speak freely is brutally cowardly," she pointed out.
"The ideals they claim to defend 'to the death' are called into serious question. Unless 'the death' refers to someone else's, and the weapon is the infinite fear of differing ideas and cowardly power," he emphasized.
In April, he complained that he was banned from performing at a comedy showcase at the Café Teatro Bertolt Brecht in Havana.
"Once again, the long arm of the law. I was coordinating to act on an invitation from the guys who do it at a comedy night that takes place on Saturdays at the Café del Bertolt Brecht. 'Coincidentally,' I can't work there either," he explained.
