The Lidio Ramón Pérez (Felton) thermoelectric power plant was disconnected from the National Electric Energy System (SEN) this Thursday for maintenance work.
According to a report by official journalist Emilio Rodríguez Pupo on Facebook, the plant will be out of service for 10 days.
Engineer Eric Milanés Quinzán, general director of the industry, specified that the shutdown process of the machines was completed exactly at 8:22 AM.

The tasks include cleaning the air heaters in the boiler and condenser, as well as inspecting two bearings in the turbine.
The shutdown of the Felton occurs on a day when the Electric Union forecasts a day of extended blackouts, with a deficit exceeding 1,400 MW.
According to the report from the entity, in addition to the Holguin plant, other blocks at the Santa Cruz, Cienfuegos, and Renté plants are under maintenance, not to mention the breakdowns in units at the Santa Cruz, Renté, and Felton facilities themselves.
