The governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis, dispelled rumors suggesting that his wife, Casey DeSantis, might run to succeed him in the governorship in 2026.
During an interview with Fox News host Laura Ingraham, the president stated that his wife has no intentions of entering the electoral race and that the speculation has been unfounded for quite some time.
"Well, people have been asking her to do this for so long and to run for office. She is a force of nature... it's not something she is looking for. I think many people are simply concerned about the future of the state," DeSantis stated when asked about the topic.

Ingraham agreed with this perception, stating: "I believe so. I know Casey. I think, in fact, it could be him".
