The White House shared a unique postcard on its X account for Valentine’s Day dedicated to illegal immigrants.
The design features a pink background adorned with hearts, upon which are the serious faces of Donald Trump and Tom Homan, the so-called border czar.
"The roses are red, the violets are blue, come here illegally and we will deport you," say the verses about the two sides.
The tweet generated some criticism from people who consider it disrespectful and in very poor taste, but the majority like it and have posted laughing face emojis.
"Oh my God, I love Trump so much! Happy Valentine's Day, Mr. President," wrote a woman.
"When we have account X from the White House posting things like this, we know that the United States has returned," commented another.
"It really is a big change compared to how previous administrations used this account. Hahaha," mocked a writer and photographer.
"For a day that is supposed to be dedicated to love, you sure are being awful," a young woman stated.
So far, the president has not shared anything on his platform Truth Social.
The publication reflects the essence of the immigration policy of the Trump administration, which asserts that all illegal immigrants are criminals and therefore will be deported, without distinctions between those who have committed serious crimes and those who simply entered the country irregularly.
"If you are a person, a foreigner who enters the United States illegally, you are, by definition, a criminal, and therefore, you are subject to deportation," said White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt.
Tom Homan, known for his tough stance on illegal immigration, noted in December that mass deportations would begin on the very first day of the new administration.
Homan admitted that the ambitious promise faces unavoidable logistical and political challenges, such as the lack of infrastructure to accommodate detained immigrants.
He also mentioned the need for a significant increase in the number of agents and financial resources, as well as the need to expedite immigration judicial processes.
