The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detailed on Wednesday that the Cuban influencer Cinthya Medrano García, known on social media as "La Cintumbare," was deported for failing to appear before the immigration judge on October 18, 2023, which resulted in an order of deportation in absentia.

In statements to Martí Noticias, a spokesperson for the agency stated that the 28-year-old influencer was deported last Thursday after spending several weeks in ICE custody.

He then argued that Medrano García entered the U.S. on June 6, 2022, through Lukeville, Arizona, without being inspected or admitted by an immigration officer.

On that same day, the Border Patrol detained her, issued a notice to appear, and released her on June 8 under a recognition order with periodic reporting requirements.
