This is the Latin American country with the highest number of master's and doctoral graduates in the United States, according to a study

A study highlights the Latino communities in the U.S. with the highest percentage of graduate or doctoral degree holders. Do you know what position Cuba is in?

The popular Dominican TikToker Zabetón (@zabeton) recently shared a viral video in which he discusses the results of a supposed study published by the magazine Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education Magazine, highlighting which Latin nationalities have the highest educational levels in the United States.

According to Zabetón, the ranking is based on the percentage of individuals who have attained a master's or doctoral degree within each Latino community residing in the United States.

At the bottom of the list, with less than 20% of people holding advanced higher education degrees, are El Salvador, Panama, Nicaragua, and the Dominican Republic. "I am one of those," confessed Zabetón himself, who indicated that he only has a bachelor's degree in Economics.

In the following group, with just over 20%, are Honduras, Venezuela, and Bolivia. A bit higher, at the average level, are Mexico, Brazil, Paraguay, and Peru, which show similar and rising figures.

The countries with more than 40% of their population in the United States holding master's degrees or doctorates are Costa Rica, Argentina, and Uruguay. "Congratulations on that," the TikToker expressed.

The top three are Colombia, Chile, and Cuba, a country that surprises with nearly 70% of graduates in advanced studies.

"Congratulations on that. So, Cubans want to come here to get a good education, whether they stay or go back, but with an education. What is your opinion on that?" Zabetón concluded.

The video has sparked debate and pride on social media, where Cubans and other Latino communities have commented and shared their personal experiences about access to higher education in the United States.

Beginning with the academic year 2025-2026, the prestigious institution will offer free tuition for students whose households have an annual income of 200,000 dollars or less.
