The Cuban regime announced the celebration, for the second consecutive year, of the professional boxing day in Cuba, although this time the event has changed its location.

While last year the "Night of Champions" was held at the Coliseum of the Sports City, this year the event will take place at the Meliá Internacional Hotel in Varadero, and it will not be free.

According to what was announced on the Facebook page of "Domadores de Cuba," tickets can be purchased at Cubadeportes S. A., the Tryp Habana Libre Hotel, and the Meliá Internacional Hotel. While prices have not been disclosed, several travel agencies are promoting the event.

One of them, Solways, offers accommodation and entry to the event for 206 dollars per adult, per night, and approximately 300 USD for two adults, per night.

"The Meliá Internacional Varadero Hotel, a 5-star All-Inclusive Resort, will host the Cuban Boxing Night Event on April 11. Get ready to experience an evening filled with adrenaline and passion featuring high-level bouts between world-class professionals. Reserve your spot and feel the excitement of boxing in Cuba!" the agency promoted.

The price of the offer includes arrival transfer via collective service, accommodation in a Classic room with all-inclusive service, and entry to the Professional Boxing Night, on April 11 at 7:00 PM.

Last year, as acknowledged by the regime, the entrance fee was 100 Cuban pesos for a spot in the stands and 150 for a seat.

The event has "leveled up" this year and features sponsors such as the restaurant Casa Mía, Gran Caribe, and the agency AGON Sports.

The event will consist of six fights, and it will mark the debut of Yakelin Estornell, who will become the first Cuban woman to participate in a professional match. Her opponent will be the Dominican Lina Tejada in a bout scheduled for four rounds.

The main fight will feature two-time Olympic champion and three-time world champion Julio César "La Sombra" la Cruz against the Montenegrin Dilan Prasovic.

The Olympic champion Erislandy Álvarez will also be in the ring facing the Dominican Brainner Vásquez. The world champion Lázaro Álvarez will contend with Miguel Queliz, and Arlen López will go up against Martín Ezequiel Bulacio.

In addition, for the continental gold title for America from the World Boxing Association, Moussa Ghalom and Misael Vázquez will face off in 10 rounds.

Last year, with the lineup called "Night of Champions," professional boxing returned to Havana after decades of absence. The fight card included two familiar faces: Julio César la Cruz and the Cuban-Spanish nationalized Enmanuel Reyes.

The event marked the (true) return of professional boxing to the largest of the Antilles (after decades of absence), although some believe that this occurred with the now-defunct World Series of Boxing.

The event, organized by the International Boxing Association (IBA), will feature two universal titles at stake and will bring together athletes, coaches, officials, and fans from around the world to celebrate the rich history and vibrant future of this sport, according to the Notifight website.
