The 72-year-old physician suffered a sudden heart attack this Sunday while visiting the Metrocentro shopping center in Managua, according to reports from the local Nicaraguan press.

Hermoso, originally from Villa Clara, arrived in La Libertad, a municipality in the Chontales department, 29 years ago and there, according to local press, "became a fundamental pillar in medical care, providing support especially to miners and the most in need families."
