According to information from CNN, a suspect has already been arrested and there are preliminary reports of injuries.

The broadcaster also reported the testimony of 21-year-old student Emily Palmer, who said from her university residence: “I’m shaking… A lot is happening. I’m worried about my friends. I have classmates who are being evacuated by the police with their hands up.”

Another testimony collected by the television station was from Richard Rind, director of Transportation and Parking at the university, who stated that he was confined in a building and heard gunshots as emergency vehicles arrived at the scene.

Additionally, Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH) confirmed that it is receiving and providing active care to the affected patients, reported Telemundo.

"Our teams are fully mobilized and prepared to provide the highest level of care and support," said a representative of the medical center.

TMH added that it is in coordination with emergency services and asked for patience while confirmed details about the injured are being obtained.
