A bus driver in Cuba is recorded speaking to passengers in this way, and social media reacts with horror: "Whoever wants to can take a plane."

A TikTok video shows a bus driver in Cuba speaking aggressively to passengers, reflecting frustration over the transportation crisis on the island, which has been exacerbated by a lack of resources.

A video posted on TikTok has sparked outrage among social media users as it shows a bus driver in Cuba aggressively addressing passengers during a journey between the Cuban capital and the municipality of Caraguao.

"Whoever wants to get off, please do," "Come on, whoever wants to can take a plane; there are no planes here, there's nothing here," were some of the phrases spoken by the visibly upset driver, as seen in the video shared by the user @jesusdecuba.

"On the route from Havana to Caraguao, the driver stops at every stop to make some extra money, and that's how he interacts with the passengers," reported the person who recorded the scene from inside the bus.

The driver's words quickly sparked reactions of rejection among the users, who deemed the treatment unacceptable, especially in a context where public transportation in Cuba is experiencing a deep crisis.

"And they still have to pay for the ticket," commented one internet user, while another added, "Then they complain when they're filmed, but what is this?"

The driver's attitude has been interpreted as a reflection of a daily reality on the island: the frustration of drivers, passengers, and citizens stuck in a collapsed system, with no solutions in sight.

Despite the fact that many understand the difficult working conditions, they condemn that the mistreatment of the population is unjustifiable.

The situation of urban transport in Cuba has worsened in recent years due to a lack of fuel, the deterioration of the vehicle fleet, and a shortage of spare parts.

Many drivers take advantage of stops to pick up passengers on their own, charging in cash and outside the official system, which fuels the frustration of those who rely on this essential service daily.
