A Cuban mother of just 17 years was murdered by her ex-partner in the town of Brasil, in the municipality of Esmeralda, Camagüey.
The victim, named Yilianis Reyes Fundora, was the mother of a baby girl who was only two years old.
His killer was identified as Eduardo Aguilar, who, based on the photos shared online, is also very young.
According to a report on Facebook by user Irma Broek, Aguilar stabbed Yilianis multiple times before fleeing.
He was later captured by the Police, confirmed on the official pro-government profile "Verdades a Través del Móvil" on Facebook.
"The citizen Eduardo Aguilar, the perpetrator of the murder, has been arrested; he previously had a romantic relationship with Yilianis Reyes," reveals the post.
"The authorities are working to clarify the reasons behind the crime. Our condolences to the victim's family," it adds.
