A luxurious Lamborghini yacht valued at over 4 million dollars sinks in Miami

A Lamborghini 63 yacht sank off Miami Beach with 32 people on board, exceeding its capacity. The causes are under investigation, but overloading could be a possible reason for the accident.

What was supposed to be a luxurious cruise through the waters of the Magic City ended in chaos and concern this Saturday when an exclusive Lamborghini 63 yacht, valued at over 4 million dollars, began to sink off the coast of Miami Beach.

The incident, which has been captured in numerous videos shared on social media, is under investigation. The footage shows the vessel starting to tilt dangerously until it partially submerges, while several people on board—some still celebrating—are evacuated wearing life jackets by other boats.

Authorities confirmed that 32 people were rescued without any injuries reported. The swift intervention of private and official vessels prevented fatal consequences. The incident occurred in a very busy area of the Miami coastline, where the traffic of yachts and luxury boats is common, especially on weekends.

Exceeded capacity: Possible cause of the sinking

The damaged yacht is part of the exclusive Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63 series, a joint project between the Italian supercar manufacturer Automobili Lamborghini and the shipyard The Italian Sea Group. This vessel is designed to comfortably accommodate five guests and two crew members, with an ideal operational total of seven people.

At the time of the accident, the yacht was carrying more than four times that amount, with 32 people on board. While the causes of the sinking are still under investigation, the obvious overload may have compromised the stability and buoyancy of the vessel, which was designed more for speed and comfort than for accommodating large numbers of passengers.

The Lamborghini 63: A Symbol of Luxury and Speed

The stricken yacht is part of the exclusive Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63 series, a joint project between the Italian supercar manufacturer Automobili Lamborghini and the shipyard The Italian Sea Group.

It is a 63-foot (about 19 meters) vessel made of carbon fiber, capable of reaching a top speed of 63 knots (117 km/h) thanks to its two MAN V-12 engines, each with 2,000 horsepower.

Only 63 units were manufactured worldwide, and Miami was the first destination to receive one of these nautical machines, of which at least four have been sold to South American clients, according to previous reports.

Its design is inspired by iconic models like the Huracán Evo and the Aventador, featuring elements that directly reference the Lamborghini universe, from the “Y”-shaped headlights to the sporty leather seats.

A design jewel... now water-resistant

The vessel not only symbolizes luxury but also advanced engineering and exclusivity. Its base price hovers around 4.5 million dollars, and its construction focuses on speed, aesthetics, and high-end comfort, with capacity for five guests and a minimum crew of two.

The causes of the partial sinking are still under investigation, although some witnesses indicate that overloading could have been a factor, given the high number of passengers on board.

Reactions on social media

The news of the sinking quickly went viral, partly due to the contrast between the scale of luxury and the drama of the incident.

Comments like “RIP 4.5 mill” or “Lambo boat sinking smh” flooded TikTok and Instagram, where some videos show young people dancing and recording the moment without apparent alarm, prompting criticism on social media for the apparent lack of responsibility.
