Joe Biden diagnosed with aggressive metastatic prostate cancer

Joe Biden, former President of the USA, is facing aggressive prostate cancer with bone metastasis. The diagnosis follows urinary symptoms and a recently detected nodule. The situation is developing.

Former U.S. President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer that has reportedly metastasized to his bones, his office announced in a statement this Sunday.

"Last week, President Joe Biden was visited by a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms. On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone," the statement reads.

A doctor who saw the 82-year-old former president last Friday after he presented urinary symptoms issued the diagnosis.

The statement informs that Biden and his family are evaluating treatment options.

Additionally, it is noted that cancer is hormone-sensitive, which could indicate that it may be managed with treatment.

Biden, the oldest sitting president of the United States to date, was already suffering from age-related conditions such as obstructive sleep apnea, which required him to sleep with a machine.

He also suffers from peripheral neuropathy and moderate to severe spondylosis, conditions that cause him pain and stiffness in his movements.

In July, Biden announced his decision to withdraw from the race for the U.S. presidency, amid concerns about his mental state and health, as well as pressures from his party, following the debacle he faced in the debate against Donald Trump in June.

Her vice president Kamala Harris, now the Democratic presidential candidate, has failed miserably in her attempt to block Trump's return to the White House.

On May 8, Biden reemerged after a period of silence in the American public arena to partially blame racism and sexism for Harris's defeat.

“They opted for the sexist route” that “a woman could not lead the country, especially a woman of mixed race,” she said about her Republican rivals on ABC's television program The View.

"I was in charge and he won, so I take responsibility," he added.
