The Cuban closer Aroldis Chapman, known as “The Missile” and star of the Boston Red Sox, will return to the All-Star Game of the MLB 2025, which will take place on July 15 at Truist Park in Atlanta.
With this selection, Chapman becomes the left-handed reliever with the most All-Star Game appearances in history, reaching eight appearances and surpassing Billy Wagner (7), according to specialized journalist Francys Romero on the social network Facebook.
At 37 years old, the Holguin native continues to defy age and showcase an impressive level: he maintains an ERA of 1.25, a minuscule WHIP of 0.78, and a rate of 13.1 strikeouts per 9 innings (K/9), figures that, if sustained in the second half of the season, could become the best marks of his career.
Analysts agree that these numbers are a clear testament to his enduring talent. Chapman continues to establish himself as one of the most dominant and iconic closers of his generation.
