A Cuban mother has touched social media by sharing on TikTok the moment she was able to reunite with her son, after three years apart due to migration.

The user @yiselvelazquez shared a memory of the emotional reunion she experienced five years ago when she was finally able to bring her son out of Cuba and meet him abroad.

“To every mother going through this situation, I just want to tell you that your sacrifice is worth it because you will be with your children and give them a better future”, she wrote in the video, as a message of encouragement to other migrant mothers.

In the images, the boy runs into his mother's arms inside an airport, while she embraces him in tears. The video is accompanied by the song "Maldita distancia," which enhances the emotional weight of the scene.

"I spent three years away from him, but thanks to God's blessing, I was able to get him out of Cuba five years ago," added the woman, who currently lives in the United States.
