The young Cuban Roselyn Inclan Pérez, originally from Matanzas, was crowned as the first Queen of the Sweet Havana Carnival 2025, at an emotional gala held over the weekend at the Actors Theatre of Louisville.
The competition brought together seven contestants, of which Roselyn Pérez, Lorena Pérez, and Flavia Hernández reached the grand final. It was Roselyn who claimed the title, winning over the jury with her charisma, elegance, and commitment to the community.

Cuban Pride at the Sweet Havana Carnival
Roselyn, 19 years old, was born on December 25, 2005, in Matanzas, Cuba. From a very young age, she demonstrated a strong interest in modeling, a path that led her to be pre-qualified for the Miss Universo Cuba 2024 competition, where she received professional training and developed a solid presence on the runway and social media.
In addition to her career as a model, Roselyn has established herself as an influencer, using her digital platforms to promote charitable causes, especially animal protection.
She is currently balancing her university studies with her work as a content creator and model. Her crowning as the Queen of the Carnival represents an achievement she proudly celebrates and further drives her commitment to her community.
The countdown to the carnival has already begun
With the selection of its first queen, Carnaval Sweet Havana 2025 enters the final stretch of preparations for its highly anticipated celebration, which will take place on August 2 and 3 at Fourth Street Live, right in the heart of Louisville.
The festival will feature live music, Cuban cuisine, workshops, shows, and family activities. As the official image of the Carnival, Roselyn Pérez will lead the opening ceremony, participate in parades, press conferences, and community activities and events.
Organized by the Sweet Havana team, this carnival aims to strengthen the ties of the Latino community in Kentucky, highlight emerging talent, and pay tribute to Cuban traditions in a festive, inclusive, and family-friendly atmosphere.
