A Cuban who identifies as "El Papi de Cuba" on TikTok shared an emotional message about his connection to the island, defending his right to return to Cuba despite the country's political and economic situation.

"Cuba is Cuba, and that is my land, and I will always go to Cuba, whether anyone likes it or not. Above any politics and above any government, it is the land where one was born," he stated in his video.

The man, visibly moved, stated that he will continue traveling to Cuba even if he no longer has family there. “Forget about that; even if I don't have family, I'm going to go, believe me,” he insisted, appealing to the memories and emotions that the return to the island evokes.

"When you go to Cuba, or when someone says to you, 'Hey, let's go to Cuba,' what comes to mind are many memories of your youth and your experiences. In 100 years, we won't be here on Earth. We are fighting against the current," he reflected.

Additionally, he criticized those who profit from talking about Cuba without offering solutions: “There are a lot of people here living off the story of Cuba and they do nothing. And they will, or they won’t. There’s nothing like Cuba, regardless of all the problems that exist in Cuba.”

The video has gone viral on social media, generating mixed reactions among those who share its nostalgia and those who criticize its perspective, considering the current crisis facing the island.
