The animal rights organization People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) publicly criticized Bad Bunny for using live chickens in the set design of his musical residency No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí, which is being held at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico. The complaint was posted on social media, where they shared images of the stage with the animals present.

"An unforgettable dance for Bad Bunny... but a nightmare for animals", wrote PETA Latino on their Facebook account, where they urged the artist to stop using animals in his shows. "How long will animals be treated as mere accessories for the show?" they questioned, appealing to the ethical responsibility of artists.

The concert's setting creates a countryside atmosphere, featuring plastic chairs, greenery, and elements typical of the Puerto Rican landscape, where live chickens were seen before the show began. Although local media claims that the birds are removed before the concert starts, the organization believes that their presence in that context already constitutes a form of mistreatment.

It is not the first time that PETA has criticized the reggaeton artist. In 2024, during his tour The Most Wanted Tour, the organization condemned the use of a horse in one of his concerts, claiming that the animal was subjected to extreme stress due to lights, smoke, and noise.

Bad Bunny's residency includes 30 shows between July and September, and it has broken records at the Coliseo, surpassing the 14 consecutive performances previously achieved by Wisin and Yandel. As he prepares for a world tour that will begin in November, the controversy surrounding the use of animals in his concerts continues to generate debate.
