An emotional scene captured in Cuba has touched thousands of people on social media. A little girl, wearing a birthday crown and sash, was surprised on the street by someone dressed as Minnie Mouse, who handed her a gift sent by her father from abroad.

The gesture, filled with symbolism and tenderness, included a box of malt adorned with a pink ribbon and a shower of petals that fell from a white umbrella.

The girl's reaction was immediate: she couldn't hold back her tears and ran to seek refuge in the arms of what appears to be her mother, who comforted her with a tight embrace while the figure of Minnie Mouse stood by her side.

The trending video, posted on TikTok by the user @raymel.hernandez, has sparked a wave of comments full of solidarity and emotion.

Phrases like “Happy birthday to your princess,” “I couldn't help but cry because a father's love is unconditional,” and “damn distance” encapsulate the feelings of many people who resonate with the family separation experienced by thousands of Cubans.

"Blessings, dad. The important thing is not to forget. Many forget their family because it’s easier for them to find another one outside. They are the ones who suffer," wrote a visibly moved user. Another commented: "God bless you, I don't know you, but I couldn't help but cry like she did."

The scene reflects not only the unconditional love of a father who is physically absent but present in his daughter's heart, but also the deep emotional scars left by the family separation imposed by emigration, a reality that affects countless Cuban households.
