Eleven years after the accident in which she nearly lost her life, Seidy La Niña shares photos of how the car looked after the collision

The Cuban singer Seidy La Niña shook her followers by sharing shocking images of the traffic accident that nearly cost her life 11 years ago.

"The content of these photos is intense... I know. But it might help to inspire someone who needs it," she wrote alongside the photographs in which she is seen intubated, motionless in a hospital bed with a large wound on her abdomen.

Even more shocking were the photos of how the car looked after the crash, completely destroyed, so much so that it's hard to believe anyone could have survived.

The accident left Seidy in a coma for a month. One of her lungs collapsed and, as she recounted, the doctors gave little hope to her family at that time. The artist underwent emergency surgery in which her abdomen was stitched up with 34 stitches to stop internal bleeding.

"It was uncertain whether he would walk again, speak, or recognize anyone", he had shared some time ago in an interview from which he posted a snippet on Instagram.

In another post, Seidy reflected on the experience that changed her life: "Eleven years ago, God gave me another chance at life. I am very grateful for every step, for every fall, for every mistake, but above all things, for my life. Miracles do exist, I am one," she wrote alongside a photo from that moment and a current one where she is seen smiling and thriving.

The post has been met with thousands of messages of support and admiration for her strength. For many of her followers, Seidy is, in addition to being a singer, an example of resilience.
