A Cuban woman identified as @cubitabella09 on TikTok posted a video in which she recounts her disappointing experience at the Hotel Riu Plaza España, located on Gran Vía in Madrid, one of the most well-known accommodations in the capital for its panoramic terrace and glass walkways.

"And here I want to give you a little tutorial on how to throw your money away just like I did," started the user, who claimed to have paid over 350 dollars per night.

According to their explanation, guests who pay the full rate must wait in the same line as any outside visitors who pay 10 euros to access the terrace and take photos, which they described as "incredible but true."

In his account, he also criticized the conditions of the room: "They don't have a double bed for a double room; what they have is a sofa bed with a super uncomfortable mattress. There is no privacy; if your children are watching television, you can't watch it."

The Cuban woman added that the hairdryer "only lasts 10 seconds on" because, as she was told at the reception, it's to "protect the environment." "And who takes care of my money?" she quipped.

He also mentioned the cost of parking —32 dollars a day— and the noise of the air conditioning, which he compared to that of “a tractor.”

The video, which has already garnered thousands of views, even shows a line to access the terrace, which he described as "short" compared to those at night. "You don't want to see it at night, it’ll give you a heart attack; there's no one who can make it up," he stated.
