The Cuban influencer Sandro Castro, grandson of the late dictator Fidel Castro, drew attention on social media after revealing his new and eccentric "pet," a silicone hand inspired by Thing, the iconic character from the American series The Addams Family.
The peculiar hand, which bears a tattoo of the brand "Cristach," was named by Sandro as "Magnolia," and he presented it with a dose of forced humor while strolling along the Malecón in Havana.
Sandro, using his hand as if it had a life of its own to greet and "caress" strangers, staged a sort of performance with grotesque undertones that left no one indifferent. "Magnolia is now a part of me," he warned, but the most intriguing part of the message was yet to come at the end of the video.
The most media-savvy of the Castros dedicated some words to the Cuban reggaeton artist Wampi. He expressed his offense at not being featured on the cover of "El Rey de La Habana 7," the singer's upcoming track.
The illustration published by Wampi this week has a satirical tone that has sparked a lot of discussion, as it depicts a scene filled with references to figures from the urban genre and influencers from the Cuban entertainment scene.
Among the characters that fans claim to recognize are Chocolate MC (with his name in a garbage container), Un Martí To Durako (accompanied by two women referencing the "tortilla"), Ferrante wearing a t-shirt that says "Buying views," and three dogs that would represent Charly, Johayron, and Ja Rulay.
Kenny Robert also appears in his role as Jessica, Osniel Kimii and Samantha Hernández as a couple, along with Popy and Raymel, and the host Alex Otaola emerging from a manhole with a microphone in hand.
However, Sandro Castro is nowhere to be found; he was overlooked and disregarded, making it clear that he was not pleased.
Wampi, you didn't get me in the photo, buddy. This partner is really getting on my nerves, he said, pretending to be very upset.
