According to the consistent accounts of several witnesses, the incident occurred around 2:00 p.m., when the man began to show signs of suffocation in the water.

He was quickly pulled out of the sea by other beachgoers and resuscitation maneuvers were performed on the shore. Shortly thereafter, medical personnel from the beach health station intervened directly.

One of the most credible testimonies was from Dr. Amaury Rondón, who stated that he led the medical care and transportation of the patient.

"It is not true that there was no medical personnel. We had six members of the medical team and we managed to intubate him, stabilize him, and transfer him. The patient arrived alive at the hospital and was handed over in stable condition," he explained.

Also, Gisela Velázquez, a worker in the sector, confirmed that the man was treated at the beach clinic, placed on mechanical ventilation, and then transported to Guillermo Domínguez Hospital in the municipality of Puerto Padre.

"The man was admitted intubated, receiving hydration and with tubes in place. He was already out of danger, with normal vital signs. He was placed in intensive care as a precaution, but he is stable," he stated.

Although the name of the affected individual has not been publicly revealed, several comments provided partial information. According to Yadira Nalda, one of the people who accompanied him to the hospital, he is a neighbor from Velasco, around 50 years old.

“He is alert, improving, and remains under medical care at the Chaparra hospital,” he noted.
