The Cuban influencer Imaray Ulloa and her partner, the plastic surgeon Fabián Fontaine, shared in an Instagram video the harsh experience they both faced while traveling through Miami International Airport (MIA). What started as a personal account ended up turning into a public denunciation about the condition of one of the busiest airports in the United States.

Imaray was the first to speak and stated that traveling should be a pleasure, but in Miami it can become quite the opposite. As she explained, the airport has all sorts of issues: from ceilings full of leaks, to escalators that do not work, or even a paralyzed Skytrain. "You can encounter any disaster,” she asserted.

Fabián recalled an episode he experienced with Imaray just two months ago, when they were trying to reach the Dominican Republic. He recounted that they had to board three different planes to be able to fly: the first was canceled due to technical issues, the second because of a tire problem detected on the runway, and only the third managed to take off.

The couple also agreed on another critical point: the long waits on the ground. Imaray mentioned that every time they land in Miami, they have to wait between 20 and 30 minutes for a gate to be assigned. A delay that, as she pointed out, can be a real nightmare for those with connecting flights.

Another issue that caused significant outrage was the loss of luggage. Fontaine pointed out that, according to statistics, 5.5 bags are lost for every thousand passengers in Miami, which, in an airport with more than 50 million travelers annually, translates to thousands affected. Immediately, Imaray added, "One of those passengers in that statistic is us."

Fontaine himself explained that it happened to them just 12 days ago. They were coming from San Francisco and, while connecting in Miami, one of their bags disappeared. The system showed that it had been unloaded and scanned, but it never arrived at the carousel. “Supervisors helped us, friends who work at American Airlines, and we even filed a report with the airport police. The bag is inside the airport, but it hasn't appeared,” he said.

Imaray, visibly upset, closed the video with a strong message: "Miami needs an airport that meets the standards of this city. Help us by sharing this video." Both emphasized that this is not just about their personal case, but rather a situation that affects thousands of passengers every year and can no longer be ignored.

The testimony of Imaray and Fabián reflects how, as a couple, they have personally experienced delays, technical failures, and lost luggage at MIA. Their words sparked a heated debate on social media, where many users shared similar experiences, while others criticized the tone of the complaint. The truth is that their experience brings to light an uncomfortable reality: despite its international significance, Miami Airport has serious deficiencies that affect those who pass through it every day.
