Double Paralympic and world champion, as well as the world record holder with 7.84 meters, Sol asserted his authority from the very first attempt, with an impressive jump of 7.57 that reaffirmed his global dominance in the discipline, achieving the best mark of the entire day at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.

According to the official site Cubadebate, the silver medal went to Russian Nikita Kotukov (7.21 m) and the bronze to Chinese Hao Wang (7.19 m), in a final of exceptionally high standard that kept the suspense alive until the last jump.
