Cuban reggaeton artist Jorge Junior, leader of the group Los 4, broke his silence about what happened in Peru during his recent tour, after alarming his followers days earlier with an Instagram message in which his son Jaide spoke of an "ambush."
In a lengthy piece, the musician recounted that while walking in Lima, he was approached by a man who accused him of owing $60,000 and was accompanied by several armed individuals. "Thank God this gentleman listened to my side of the story and realized it wasn't as he had been told," he said.
According to Jorge Junior, from that moment on, his stay and that of Los 4 in Peru changed completely, as they were forced to remain in the hotel under security measures and could not go out. The artist directly accused Gian Carlos Borjas, the current representative of reggaeton artist Norlan and a former collaborator of his in Los 4, of spreading information that allegedly triggered the situation.
"His goal was to destabilize and ensure that Los 4 would not perform in Lima anymore," he noted, while holding him responsible for having filed or supported the complaint against him.
The reggaeton artist stated that the crisis led to nights of desperation, concern for the contracting companies, and anguish for families. "You didn’t care that I came with my family, with my son. Your goal was to confuse," he reproached Borjas.
On September 24, CiberCuba reported that Jorge Junior and Jaide had raised concerns with messages on social media regarding the complicated situation in Peru, without providing further details at that time. Now, with these statements, the singer offers his account of the events that surrounded the group during their tour.

"First of all, I want to remind you of something: it is a mistake to think that others do not think. Today, I will talk about the case of Peru."
I will start with a person named Gian Carlos Borjas, a guy who has neither codes nor principles. This man, who is currently the manager of Norlan and a former member of Los 4, severed ties with us a long time ago. Now, out of the blue, while I was walking through the streets of Peru, a man approached me and claimed that I owed him $60,000. Then I realized he was accompanied by several armed individuals. Thankfully, this man took the time to listen to my side of the story and understood that it wasn't as he had been told.
From that moment on, the situation for Los 4 changed: we had to take a defensive position inside the hotel, unable to go out for anything unless it was authorized.
Now my question is: according to Gian Carlos, who claimed to want to help, why did he take the trouble to shout to the four winds and call all sorts of people to say that I had problems with very violent people, according to him? Why didn't he call me or Batule? Why didn't he call my house, my mom, or do something different?
Do you know why? Because their intention was never to help; it was to confuse and to try to prevent Los 4 from performing in Lima again, because their artist is no longer delivering like before.
Gian Carlos Borjas, I'm going to tell you something and it's not a threat: you can't even imagine what we went through in that hotel. Many nights of desperation, mothers crying, businesses worried, all of Cuba calling… all because of your reckless behavior. You didn’t care that I was there with my family, with my son. Your goal was to destabilize.
It's already known that you were the one who filed or helped file the complaint against me. Kenner may be a certain way, but he’s from the streets and has his codes, and that type of person doesn't call the police. The only one who does that is you, because your whole family is in the police force, and I know how they operate.
Whatever you do and whatever you say, no one can surpass Los 4, and you will never deceive the people of Peru, because that people knows the truth and you are a farce.
"From now on, do whatever you want, but when you come to Cuba, you will know how real work is done on the streets. I started with you; I still have two more to go."
