A Good Samaritan is searching for the owner of a tricycle after finding one of its parts hidden in a hillside in Camagüey.

“Whoever had an electric tricycle like this stolen, today I found a bed abandoned in the woods. Call 50304191,” wrote Jorge Falls Moreira in the Facebook group Revolico Camagüey.

Falls Moreira's post has received dozens of comments, with people divided between congratulating him for his generosity and expressing concern over the rise in thefts on the island.

This is not the first time that the discovery of a part of a stolen vehicle has been reported in recent times in Cuba.

At the end of August, the police in the 10 de Octubre municipality were attempting to locate the owner of an electric tricycle that was found abandoned and without tires on a street in Havana.

The vehicle, which is missing its three wheels, was found by neighbors on Juan Delgado Street, between Lacret and Luis Estévez in Diez de Octubre, who immediately reported it to the authorities.

According to the residents themselves, the police are investigating who owns the electric tricycle, as the theft has not been officially reported the theft of it.

These events occur in the context of an increase in crime on the island and vehicle theft.

Around the same time, the owner of a Lada 2107 reported the theft of his car while it was parked outside the Tulipán Agromarket.

The victim is Luis Gerald Simón Romañach, who made an appeal on his social media for anyone with relevant information about the whereabouts of the car to contact him at 53305629.
