Tekashi 6ix9ine's residence in Florida was the scene of a violent assault carried out by four armed men who broke into the home in search of money and car keys.
During the attack, the subjects held the artist's mother, aged 60, against her will, but she was not injured.
The incident occurred on Sunday night, while the rapper was not at home. As he later confirmed to content creator Jack Doherty.
The media TMZ reported that according to information from the Palm Beach Sheriff's Department, the men entered wearing masks and carrying firearms.
After subduing the rapper's mother outside the house, the rest of the group entered the property and searched it thoroughly, demanding cash and car keys.
Agents and a canine unit searched the residence, but the suspects had already fled, apparently in a vehicle they used to leave the area minutes before the authorities arrived.
According to the police authorities, the assault is still under investigation.
