The latest episode of the Podcast De La Vida, hosted by Miguelín and his team, sparked a wave of comments after two regular faces, Juliette Valle and Eduardo López Cardoso (La Flaca Verónica), were absent from the episode.
His absence coincided with a new romantic breakup, which sparked an intense debate among the show's followers. On YouTube, where the program has garnered tens of thousands of views, opinions were clearly divided.
On one hand, many internet users stated that they missed the presence of the couple, especially due to the dynamic they brought to the team. “Hello… I really miss Flaco. The chemistry and friendship with Miguelín is wonderful,” commented a user. Another added that without them, the format loses part of its essence: “For me, the six of them play their part… the show is not the same without them.”
However, an equally large group expressed a much more critical stance, stating that their absence reflects a lack of professionalism and respect towards the audience and their colleagues on the program. “If they’re not needed there, the truth is; “Every time they are upset, they ruin the podcast... friendship is one thing, and business is another; I would kick them off the show and that would be the end of the nonsense”.
The idea that they should step aside if they cannot uphold their commitment was echoed in several responses: “They contribute more by leaving than by staying… as long as Migue and the Melliza don’t leave, it’s fine like this”, wrote a user who received numerous likes.
Other viewers pointed out that the audience deserves stability: "If every time someone has a personal problem they missed work, the podcast would never happen", commented another user.
Meanwhile, Juliette would have stated in venues outside the program that her absence was not her own decision, trying to clarify that she deeply respects her work and has always aimed to maintain professionalism.
Miguelín, for his part, clarified that this is the third time they have separated, and always after the breakup, they try not to record the podcast to let things settle down, but he assured that he has not taken Juliette off the show.
The truth is that the debate continues to heat up: should they remain part of the team despite their emotional ups and downs, or is it time to refresh the lineup for the sake of the project?
For now, the De La Vida Podcast continues with the rest of the group, while the audience remains very attentive to what will happen in the upcoming episodes.
