The popular Cuban urban singer El Chacal is back with a track that promises to get his followers dancing: "Despelote," a single that marks the beginning of a new musical phase in his career.

The artist, whose real name is Ramón Lavado Martínez, describes this song as an invitation to enjoy life without limits, to leave worries behind and live in the present with joy. In the words of the artist himself, “‘Despelote’ conveys fun. When people want to let go of their stress, live in the moment, and forget about everything, they let loose,” emphasizes the press release sent to our editorial team.

For this release, El Chacal collaborated with producers Aaron J and Frank Palacio, who brought a fresh and experimental sound. The track blends the essence of the Cuban cast with influences from Afro rhythms, a fusion that, according to the singer, "maintains the clave but from a different musical era, achieving a distinct and powerful vibe."

While maintaining his characteristic style, El Chacal this time opts for bolder and less romantic lyrics, aiming to reflect the spontaneity and joyful disorder that the title of the song suggests.

The interpreter also celebrated the rise of the music scene outside of Cuba, highlighting that for the first time, the urban genre from the Island "has an authentic, distinctive, and exportable sound."

"Despelote" is just the beginning of an ambitious musical project that will include several EPs in different styles, such as bachata, reggaeton, ballad, and more, through which the artist aims to showcase their full versatility.

The song and its music video are now available on all digital platforms, and it promises to become one of the most infectious tracks to enjoy this year-end.
