The Puerto Rican producer Raphy Pina has made a public comeback with a message that is as powerful as it is calm, following the recent lawsuit filed against him and Mireddys González, the artist's ex-wife, by Daddy Yankee. From his Instagram account, Pina made it clear that he will not allow his story to be distorted, proudly recalling what they both built together over the years.
"Don't confuse my silence with fear, nor my peace with weakness," he wrote at the beginning of his post, hinting that, despite the media turbulence, he remains calm and confident in his truth. With those words, the producer, who was one of the closest figures to Daddy Yankee, aimed to put an end to the speculation surrounding him since the legal controversy erupted.
Pina's message comes just days after the performer of "Gasolina" filed a federal lawsuit under the RICO Act, alleging an alleged scheme of fraud and diversion of millions in royalties from at least fifteen songs. The document accuses Pina and Mireddys of manipulating contracts and copyright registrations for their financial benefit.
However, rather than responding with attacks or confrontation, Pina chose reflection. In his text, he referred to Daddy Yankee as a legend and emphasized that his respect for him remains intact, although he drew a clear line between the global reggaeton icon and the person behind the stage name. "Daddy Yankee, the legend, will always have our respect. But Ramón Ayala is another story… the story we lived, without cameras, without social media, and without tales," he wrote with a nostalgic tone.
The producer also took the opportunity to defend his role in the artist's career, recalling the years of work, strategy, and shared effort. "What we did together is documented. What we built is certified.", he stated, in a clear allusion to the fact that his contribution to Daddy Yankee's legacy is supported by facts and not just words.
In another part of his message, Pina was firm yet conciliatory, appealing to faith and reconciliation. “He who has God in his heart does not destroy, does not invent, does not slander, nor puts at risk families that have never failed him,” he expressed, before inviting Daddy Yankee himself to engage in a sincere dialogue with Mireddys González, his ex-wife and partner for three decades.
"There is still time to do the right thing," he concluded, leaving the door open for a possible reconciliation between the parties. "Don't let ego destroy what history has already gifted you." With this message, Raphy Pina demonstrates that, even amid a judicial storm, he continues to advocate for peace, truth, and the memory of everything that once united two of the most iconic figures in reggaeton.
