A Cuban resident in the United States shared her recent travel experience to the island on TikTok and stated that she did not encounter any issues with immigration authorities upon her return, despite the fears circulating among many emigrants about potential consequences of visiting Cuba.

"Nothing is happening, gentlemen. I left on Saturday and returned today, Tuesday, and the only thing they asked me when I arrived at Tampa airport was why I went to Cuba, how many days I stayed, and that I went to see my mom," recounted the user.

The woman explained that before obtaining her residency under the Cuban Adjustment Act, she had applied for political asylum, but she closed her case once she received legal residency.

"I traveled to Cuba last year, after closing my case, and returned without any issues. Now in December, I went back, spent time with my family, and nothing happened," he mentioned in the video.

According to his testimony, the immigration officers in Tampa simply returned his documents and wished him a good day.

"They are not taking anyone's residency away, nor are they detaining anyone. If you want to visit your family or bring them medication, do it. If you haven't committed any crime, nothing will happen to you," the Cuban emphasized.

His message has sparked debate on social media, where some users agree with his experience while others point out that each immigration case is different and depends on the specific legal history and status of each individual.
