Three months after confirming her separation from L Kimii, the Cuban influencer Samantha Hernández unexpectedly referenced her past relationship during the premiere of the reality show El rancho de Destino.

It all happened when Samantha was on stage with the cast of the show, and Ferran, one of the collaborators, decided to make a joke with her in front of the audience. What seemed like a light conversation ended up producing a phrase that quickly went viral on social media.

“Mira, this is how my previous relationship started and it lasted two days,” she said with a laugh. Ferran quickly asked her why it had lasted so little, and she replied with irony: “Because women like me have to be alone. You didn’t get it, you didn’t understand.” The audience responded with laughter while Samantha tried to downplay the comment.

The banter continued when Ferran reminded her of a time she had said she liked "the little black ones." Samantha, amused, replied: "I’ve switched sides, not anymore. Oh dear... I'm going to say too much." Her words sparked laughter on set and also generated many reactions on social media.

On platforms like TikTok, users quickly commented on the moment. Some felt that Samantha was better off not speaking on the topic, while others defended her and called for respect for her privacy. There were also those who took the scene humorously, with divided opinions on whether she did the right thing by responding or if it was just a simple joke taken out of context.

Since confirming her separation last October, neither Samantha nor L Kimii had publicly addressed their breakup again. This is the first time she has mentioned the topic, although she did so lightly and without going into details. What started as a joke ended up reminding everyone that, despite the rumors and criticisms, Samantha remains one of the most followed —and most talked about— creators in the Cuban digital world.
