The Cuban star Rebeca Martínez reacted with an intimate and sensitive message to the death of singer Alfredito Rodríguez, one of the most beloved artists in Cuban culture.
"A voice that defined an era. An artist who felt, who lived his songs to the fullest, a singer who achieved all his success 'Drenched in Sweat,'" the artist wrote on her Instagram account while commemorating the late performer.
Rebeca met Alfredito on various stages and programs of Cuban television. They shared a cordial and genuine friendship, which is why she recalled his noble character, his humanity, and the tremendous connection the singer established with the audience during each performance.
"Very polite, generous, respectful, very close to his audience, 'A Good Person.' 'Sagittarius', onward and onward... You will be in the hearts of all of us who enjoyed your art and had the pleasure of knowing you," the actress said.
Rebeca's message added to the numerous expressions of love and condolences from Cuban artists both on and off the island, who have honored the artistic and personal value of Alfredo Rodríguez.
The musician died this Thursday in Miami at the age of 74.
