A video posted on TikTok has gone viral for showcasing one of the most touching moments seen recently on social media. In the recording, a Cuban grandmother tells her granddaughter that she has a surprise waiting for her in the room: a "motorina". However, what the little girl finds upon entering is not a material gift, but something infinitely more valuable: her mom, hiding under a blanket on the bed.

The reaction of the little girl has left everyone with heavy hearts. When she sees her mother, she freezes for a few seconds, then collapses in tears. It is her mother who hugs and supports her, while the girl continues to cry uncontrollably, with a deep sobbing that comes from the soul. In the video, there is a phrase that summarizes it all: "If you don’t have children in Cuba, you wouldn’t understand."

In the comments, the girl's father explained what really happened. He mentioned that his daughter had been asking for a skateboard for days, but her mother, who lives abroad, wanted to surprise her with an unexpected visit. "Haha, it turns out my daughter wanted a skateboard and my mom got confused and told her it was a scooter. That's why she came in without imagining what was going to happen. I thought she would laugh, not react like that," wrote the video's creator.

The father also revealed the story behind that hug. He said he has been unable to return to Cuba for three years, while the mother travels every four months to see her daughter. “We didn’t want to be separated, but things are very difficult in Cuba. We only wanted to give her a better future. In my case, I don’t have documents and it hurts me not to be with her, but we continue fighting to reunite,” he explained, receiving hundreds of supportive messages.

The comments reflect the shared pain of thousands of Cubans who have experienced the same situation. “She didn’t want a motorbike; she wanted her mom,” wrote one user. “I cried with that scream,” said another. “Only those of us with children far away understand what this feels like,” “Communism has stolen even our hugs,” “I haven’t seen my daughter in six years, and this video shattered me”… were some of the messages that flooded the post, many accompanied by emojis of hearts and tears.

The video has already surpassed 55 thousand likes and more than 2,400 comments, and it has become a symbol of love and sacrifice. Amid nervous laughter and heartfelt confessions, the father summed up what so many Cubans scattered around the world feel: "She just wants to be with us. If you don’t have children in Cuba, you wouldn’t understand."
