Tokischa once again made a splash on the magenta carpet of Premios Lo Nuestro, but this time she not only drew attention with her daring style, but also for the powerful message she decided to share without any filters.
The Dominican singer appeared in an asymmetrical, flowing white dress with Greek inspiration by Vivienne Westwood, paired with very high platforms in the same hue.
However, what captured the most attention was the revealing design of the outfit, which exposed one of her breasts, covered only by a silver cross-shaped accessory. As expected, the look sparked a wave of comments on social media.

Far from shying away from controversy, Tokischa was straightforward when interviewed on the red carpet. Her response made it clear that her choice was neither casual nor merely provocative.
"Fashion is not something that adds to or takes away from me; it’s something I like. It's a personal matter for me that I enjoy because it's an art I understand and with which I express myself. Right now, I am using fashion to express myself. What is my expression? I’m not going to get breast surgery. This breast I have here is the one I’m going to keep, because my entire career is telling me to get breast surgery, to get breast surgery. I am not going to get breast surgery. I like this breast, and this is the breast I will continue to have," she stated.
With that statement, the artist made it clear that her dress was more than just an aesthetic choice: it was a stance against the pressures of the industry and beauty standards. As she explained, throughout her career, she has received persistent comments urging her to undergo cosmetic surgery, something she firmly rejects.
True to her irreverent and defiant style, Tokischa turned the red carpet into a platform for personal expression and a defense of her body as it is. For some, it was an act of empowerment; for others, an unnecessary provocation. The truth is she achieved exactly what she often seeks: to spark conversation.
