An emotional family reunion featuring a young Cuban has touched thousands of users on TikTok after a video was shared showing her returning home after nearly three years without seeing her loved ones.

The author of the video, identified on that social network as @cubanita20180, accompanied the images with a phrase that captures the intensity of the moment: “After almost 3 years without seeing my family.”

In the recording, the young woman is seen arriving at her family home and ringing the doorbell while holding a large white teddy bear. On the other side, a visibly surprised woman—presumably her mother—appears, and upon recognizing her, reacts with disbelief and emotion.

Seconds later, they both embrace in a prolonged hug, marked by tears and smiles. The scene continues on the sidewalk, where the embrace is repeated with intensity, as several neighbors watch the moment.

The video has generated dozens of comments filled with empathy. "Moments that will not be forgotten," wrote one user. Another commented: "She cried, I cried, we all cried."

Messages such as: "Those hugs fill you with happiness" and "What greater satisfaction, my love, you finally got to hug the most valuable thing you have in life" are also read.

Scenes of family reunions have become increasingly common on social media, in a context marked by the emigration of thousands of Cubans in recent years.

For many, these temporary or permanent returns represent not just a physical journey, but the opportunity to reclaim lost time and to embrace those who were left behind.

The video has garnered thousands of views and reactions, confirming that despite the distance and difficulties, family ties remain one of the strongest bonds for Cubans both on the island and abroad.
