The Cuban actress Heydy González shared on social media one of those moments that, as she herself confessed, a mother never forgets. Her daughter Galilea was recognized as outstanding student at her school in Miami, an achievement that filled the entire family with pride.
Through an emotional message on Instagram, Heydy recalled how challenging the early days were after arriving in the United States just four years ago. She shared that adapting was not easy for her daughter, who had to confront a new language, a different culture, and many challenges.
“Just 4 years ago we arrived in this country with dreams, hopes, and many challenges ahead... at first it wasn't easy. There were days of crying, frustration, and feeling different in a new language”, wrote the actress.
As time went on, however, the girl gained confidence and gradually adapted to her new reality. That effort is now reflected in her academic results.
"Today her grades are perfect, she is on the honor roll, and she is now recognized as an outstanding student at her school," she proudly shared.
For Heydy, beyond the awards or grades, what really moves her is her daughter's attitude and values.
"What moves me the most is their commitment, their responsibility, and the beauty of their heart. Because true success is not just about shining... it’s doing so with humility, effort, and values," they added.
The actress closed her message with words full of love for the little one: “Infinitely proud of you, my Gali. Your story is just beginning… and you already inspire. We love you deeply.”
At this special moment, Galilea was accompanied by her parents and also by Aly Sánchez, the girl's godmother, who did not want to miss the ceremony and celebrated this important achievement with the family.
The post quickly filled with congratulatory messages from followers and friends, who celebrated the girl's achievement and her mother's pride in watching her grow and make her way in a new country.
