Cuban influencer Rachel Arderi stunned her followers with a video in which she chose to show herself without filters and speak candidly about her real body. The message, which rapidly went viral on social media, sparked numerous reactions, including from her partner, reggaeton artist Bebeshito.
In the clip, Arderi appears in all her facets, dressed up and posing for the camera, as her followers are used to seeing her, but also in a much more everyday version of herself, relaxed and without any poses.
"Probably this is the most real video you’ve seen of me. This is me. This is my body. Here I am, literally posing for the camera on an empty stomach," she began by saying.
The influencer explained that often what is seen on social media does not fully reflect reality, which is why she wanted to show how her body looks during a normal moment of the day.
"But this one you see here is still me. It's still my body, just in a state of relaxation now, wearing tighter clothing, having just eaten and not posing for any camera."
During the video, Rachel spoke candidly about topics that many women often hide due to societal pressure. “Stretch marks? Yes, of course I have them. Cellulite? Yes, lots,” she said while showing her body confidently and naturally.
She also mentioned the difference between her polished appearance and her everyday life at home, where she prioritizes comfort while fulfilling her role as a mother: “You are used to seeing me like this, looking pretty and put together, but this is also me at home, being a mom, in comfortable clothes, without trying to be the prettiest in my own home.”
In another part of the video, Arderi appeared with makeup, but without filters, and then chose to remove it in front of the camera to show her completely natural face: “Little spots, pimples, dark circles. Of course. Do you know why? Because we are not perfect. But I’m not trying to be.”
Her final message was a reflection on authenticity and the pressure that comparisons on social media create: “Never look at yourself in someone else's mirror. We are simply human beings. And being perfectly imperfect is exactly what makes us unique.”
The video quickly received thousands of comments from followers who applauded her honesty. Among them, the Cuban reggaeton artist Bebeshito stood out, reacting with pride to his partner's message.
"You have just shown how perfect you are," wrote the artist, supporting the message of self-love and authenticity shared by the influencer.
