A 49-year-old woman identified as Yvette Rodríguez was arrested by the police of Hialeah, accused of stealing merchandise valued at a Navarro pharmacy located at 802 East and 25th Street in that city.
The value of the stolen merchandise was 131 dollars, according to a recent report from Univision.
Although the robbery occurred on January 22, the news became public this week.
According to the police report and the images captured by the establishment's security cameras, Rodríguez -whose nationality has not been disclosed- entered the store at 8:53 a.m. on the mentioned day, took a shopping cart, placed several items in it, and left the premises at 9:02 a.m. without paying for any products.
The entire episode was recorded in under ten minutes.
As of the time of this report, there is no additional information regarding the incident.
Robberies at pharmacies in South Florida have been a recurring trend in recent years.
In 2024, a 72-year-old Cuban was accused of stealing from several pharmacies in Miami.
Another similar case involved a Cuban arrested for multiple thefts at a Walgreens in Hialeah.
