A Cuban woman reported on social media the worsening food shortage in her area after noticing that several stores are completely out of stock, particularly of meat products.

In a video posted on TikTok, the user expressed her concern after returning to the stores where she usually shops and finding them almost empty. "The stores where I live are empty. When I say empty, I mean that there are no meat products," she stated.

The woman explained that just a week before, she had managed to buy some products, but this time she couldn't purchase anything due to the complete lack of goods. According to her account, the freezers in the stores were completely empty.

In addition to the scarcity, he warned about the rising prices. He noted that the package of chicken that previously cost 4,500 CUP (about 18 USD at the unofficial exchange rate) is now being sold for 4,850 CUP (around 19 USD), further worsening the situation for many Cuban families.

The young woman attributed the shortages to potential electrical problems and difficulties in the transportation of goods, factors that have repeatedly impacted the already fragile supply chain on the island.

"The situation is becoming difficult, to say the least," he stated, reflecting the growing unrest among the population in the face of the economic crisis and the system's inability to ensure access to basic goods.

In recent months, complaints about food shortages, high prices, and power outages have intensified in Cuba, amidst a structural crisis that continues to deteriorate the living conditions of its citizens.
