Cuban singer Baby Lores announced on Tuesday that his foundation Somos Esperanza was recognized in the Capitol in Washington D.C. as one of the Latino projects making an impact in the community in the United States, during an international event for Cultural Sisterhood Peru - USA.

The artist shared the news on his Instagram account, with a message in which he described the moment as "so special" and thanked everyone who has been part of the project from the beginning.

"Receiving this recognition, this medal, and this diploma is not just for me; it belongs to every parent who believed, to every child who gave their best, and to every family that has been a part of this dream," wrote the singer.

The foundation Somos Esperanza was born from a deeply personal story: Baby Lores and his wife Lola created it after the loss of a baby, turning that pain into a driving force to help others.

Over the years, the artist has taken the foundation's mission beyond the borders of the United States. In one of his most heartfelt initiatives, he traveled to Santa Marta, Colombia, where he helped homeless children, leaving an indelible mark on those who participated in the experience.

In the local sphere, the singer also launched the BL Music Academy in Miami, a music academy for children with special needs, reaffirming his commitment to education and child development as fundamental pillars of his humanitarian work.
