Eliani Rodríguez, known as Nani Rodríguez and mother of Ana Paloma, daughter of the late Cuban reggaeton artist El Taiger, reappeared this Wednesday in her TikTok stories to clarify where she and her daughter currently are: they are still in Cancun, Mexico, and have not yet arrived in the United States.
The message, posted on the account @nani.rodriguez.71465, was accompanied by an image of little Ana Paloma playfully posing in a pink Christmas pajama decorated with bear prints, gingerbread men, and snowflakes, along with a matching Christmas hat, sticking out her tongue with all her charm.
"My loves, we are in Cancún and have not yet arrived in the U.S. God's timing is perfect; someday we will be there. Thank you so much for all the lovely messages, for all the blessings, and especially for the love you have for my Ana. May God always bless you all," wrote the mother.
The post confirms that, nearly a year after leaving Cuba, mother and daughter remain in Mexican territory without having yet completed their journey to the United States.
It was on June 10, 2025 when Eliani Rodríguez announced in a live broadcast on TikTok that Ana Paloma was no longer on the island: Anita is no longer in Cuba. I can finally say it, she said, expressing gratitude to La China Lay, Yamil, and Teresa Padrón for helping them settle in "a very protected place."

In the following months, the uncertainty about their whereabouts sparked speculation on social media. In June 2025, videos showing prices in córdobas at a supermarket led many to believe they were in Nicaragua. It wasn't until September 25, 2025 that it was confirmed they were in Cancun, following an emotional reunion with La China Lay, who dedicated heartfelt words to the girl that moved thousands: Your dad is proud of you, and I know it.
In February 2026, Ana Paloma turned eight years old. Her mother celebrated it with an emotional video on TikTok: How do I explain to my heart that this month you are turning 8 years old, wrote Nani Rodríguez, showing how much the little one has grown far from Cuba.
Everything related to Ana Paloma evokes a wave of affection on social media, fueled by the memory of her father. El Taiger, whose real name was José Manuel Carbajal Zaldívar, was one of the most influential reggaeton artists from Cuba. he passed away on October 10, 2024, at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, at the age of 37, after being shot in the head on October 3 of that year. Ana Paloma was the only one of his four children who remained in Cuba at the time of his death.
The girl has also begun to carve out her own path in urban music.
Each post by Nani Rodríguez serves as a reminder that Ana Paloma's story, marked by the loss of her father and the beginning of a new life outside Cuba, continues to be closely followed by thousands of people who hope to see her reach a safe harbor.
