From the United States and unable to be physically present, Milenita (Milena Sánchez Rodríguez) found a way to embrace the most important women in her life in Cuba: she organized an emotional surprise from afar for her mother "la Mimi," her godmother Marielena, and her grandmother Orialis for Mother's Day.

The gesture came from one of the many Cuban companies dedicated to this type of surprise on the island, which appeared at the family home with enormous teddy bears, flowers, and live mariachis.

The scene, brimming with emotion, encapsulates what Milenita has been building from afar for some time: moments that the family in Cuba does not easily forget.

In the video description, the influencer wrote sincerely: "Remember that Mother's Day is every day; don't wait for a special date to make the people you love happy. I am very happy to be able to create these unforgettable moments for you. This is a memory I will cherish forever in my heart. I love you, Mimi."

It is not the first time that Milenita has turned to mariachis and giant stuffed animals to surprise her family. In June 2025, she organized a birthday surprise for her mother in the same style: live music, a large teddy bear, and a arrangement of red heart-shaped balloons.

That unique stamp—big gifts, music, and a lot of love coordinated from afar—has become part of her identity as a content creator and directly connects with thousands of Cubans in the diaspora who experience the same distance.

Milenita, a graduate in Medicine from Cuba and currently a nursing student in the United States, is one of the most beloved Cuban influencers in her community, precisely for the authenticity with which she expresses her connection to the island.

In March 2026, she was praised for showing her family's wooden house in Cuba without filters, where she cooks with charcoal alongside her loved ones, and in April, alongside her husband "Puti", she supported child sweet vendors on the streets of the island, encouraging her followers to buy from them.

This time, distance was not an obstacle. It was merely the reason to find another way to tell them that she loves them, and she accomplished this with giant teddy bears, flowers, and mariachis playing in the living room of her home in Cuba.
