The Cuban singer Ozunaje surprised her followers this Monday by posting a 44-second video on Instagram recorded inside a studio, in which she performs a cappella what appears to be a new unpublished romantic song.
In the clip, the Cuban artist can be heard singing: "I haven't heard from you in a while, I lost your number, how nice, but let's see this and tell me if you’re happy, tell me both, because I can't stop missing you, and if I'm still passing by your son, but I'm not the same either, you who are abandoned and forgotten."
The lyrics point to a song about a past relationship, in line with the trend among Cuban artists to incorporate more emotional and sentimental themes alongside the traditional party and street motifs.
Along with the video, Ozunaje left a message hinting at more news: "This is my year, and I'm going all in… Only God and I know what’s coming, Ozunaje is in the house."
The artist, whose real name is Aliaisys Álvarez Hernández, has built her career as one of the rising female voices in the Cuban scene, an urban genre that originated on the Island and blends elements of reggaeton with local rhythms and lyrics reflecting everyday themes.
His most successful collaboration to date is "Full of Hate," alongside Velito el Bufón and Fernando Produce, which went viral on social media with millions of views on YouTube and was featured on Spotify's "Top Cuban New Releases 2025" chart.
His discography also includes songs such as "Tenías," "Prendío," "Quieto," and "Cosas del amor," the latter featuring Talent Fuego and Michel Boutic.
Ozunaje is also a public LGBTQ+ figure in a genre that has historically been dominated by men. She has combined her musical growth with moments from her personal life alongside her girlfriend Oliva Ferrer, with whom she answered 25 intimate questions about their relationship in March of this year.
On April 28, she also dedicated a romantic declaration of love to Ferrer, accompanied by affectionate photos.
If the fragment published this Monday is a preview of what's to come, 2026 promises to be a year filled with music for Ozuna, who has already made it clear that he has several projects in the works.
